Steve T. Wardell
April 18, 1986 - October 22, 2020
Steve Wardell, 34, of Colton, SD died Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Madison Hospital.
Steven Thomas Wardell, son of Jeff and Sandra (Heilman) Wardell was born April 18, 1986 at Sioux Falls, SD. He grew up in Sioux Falls where he received his education, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 2004. Following high school, he began his career as an auto mechanic, working in various shops in the Sioux Falls area. Steve was very much a car enthusiast, having rebuilt and sold many cars throughout his life. He also hosted many car shows in the area.
While he certainly enjoyed cars, the heart of his life was his daughter, Kaylee. He adored her and wanted the very best for her.
Grateful for having shared his life are his fiancé, Brooke Varns of Colton, SD; his daughter, Kaylee Wardell of Colton, SD; his parents, Jeff and Sandy Wardell of Sioux Falls; a sister, Lacey Wardell of Sioux Falls and his nieces and nephews, Ava, Jillian, Dominic and Angel. Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Jami Selzer.
Visitation for Steve will be from 12 Noon to 1:00 pm Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location. A private memorial service will be held. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
