A MEMORIAL VISITATION WILL BE HELD FROM 6:00 PM TO 7:00 FRIDAY, AUGUST 14th, 2020 IN THE GEORGE BOOM FUNERAL HOME RECEPTION CENTER ON THE LOWER LEVEL. FOR EASE OF ENTRY, PLEASE USE THE LOWER LEVEL PARKING LOT BEHIND THE BUILDING.
Lucy J. Rohrbach, 83, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Private family services were held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 7.
Lucy Joan Downard, daughter of Kermit and Thelma (Pritchard) Downard, was born August 12, 1936 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Lucy married Cliff Petit in 1955. They lived in Arizona for a while before returning to Sioux Falls. Lucy was employed at Sunshine Bakery for many years.
Lucy married Harlan Rohrbach in 1997. They enjoyed 23 great years.
Lucy loved to dance and stay active in the community. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will forever be loved and missed by all.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Harlan; two children, Julie Twedt and her husband, Mike, Sioux Falls, SD, Randy Petit and his wife, Shar, Gardner, KS; three step-children, Keith Rohrbach, Aberdeen, SD, Kevin Rohrbach and his wife, Christy, Aberdeen, SD, Kim Kraft and her husband, Dale, Aberdeen, SD; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a step-sister, Judy Sherman and her husband, Larry, Sioux Falls, SD; and many other relatives and friends.
Lucy was preceded in death by two sons, Rick Petit, Mark Bergland; her parents; and two sisters, Helen Scott and Ruth Darby.
