Mrs. T.A. Berven
Mrs. T.A. Berven, one fo the pioneers of the state, died at noon yesterday at the home at Baltic. She was born in Hardinger, Norway on February 6, 1845. In the fall of 1873 she was married to T.A. Berven. They first located in Trampia County, Wisconsin, where they lived to for years. In the spring of 1875 they come to South Dakota, Locating on a farm west of Baltic, known as the Berven Homestead.
Ms. Berven is survived by her husband and four children: A.T. Berven, who resides in Baltic, O.T. Berven who lived on the old homestead, Louis Berven, County Judge of Turner county and Mrs. C.K. Knutson of Presho.
Funeral Services will be held at the family residence and Nidardos Church Saturday at 11 p.m.
