Body of Cpl. Arnold Haugen Returned From Korea
Died in Korea March 7 of This Year; Funeral Services To Be Saturday of This Week
Word has been received here that the body of Cpl. Arnold Ellsworth Haugen who died in Korea last March 7th, has been returned to the United States and will arrive in Sioux Falls on Friday for reburial.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbert Nustad home and at 1:30 at the Dell Rapids Lutheran Church. The Minnehaha County Burial Association of Baltic is in charge.
Cpl. Haugen died of diphtheria at Taejon, Korea on March 7th 1951, after having been in Korea less than two months. He was a World War II Veteran serving overseas in Germany and Central Europe. He was recalled to service October 1, 1950.
Interment will be at the East Nidaros Cemetery where military ties will conducted by the Joseph A. T. Moe Post 175 of Baltic.
