Peter Thomas Axtell, 38, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in New Britain, CT of heart failure. Peter was born April 14, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN. His family moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1972, where he grew up. He played football at Lincoln High School and was a 1986 graduate.
He was married to Michelle Sullivan from December 22, 1986 until 1991. Peter entered the Navy in 1986 and served for 12 years. He spent most of his naval career aboard nuclear submarines as a Nuclear Machinist Mate.
He lived in Connecticut from 1998 to present. Peter was employed by Power & Process, Inc. as an inside sales manager and field service coordinator. Peter became an uncle and a proud grandpa in July, 2005.
He is survived by his father, Dale; mother, Toni; sister, Roxanne Kasa (Roger and McKennah); brother, Michael; son, Tony; daughter, Sarah; grandson, Mathias; and grandmother, Rosalie, all of Sioux Falls; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2007 at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Interment will be in East Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery, rural Baltic, SD. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. that evening.
