Warren F. Matzen, 55, of Sioux Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 18th, 2012, at Sanford Hospice. Warren was born July 8, 1956, in Sioux Falls, SD, to William and Hilda Matzen. He grew up in Sioux Falls, and graduated from Washington High School in 1974. Warren and Lynette were united in marriage on June 22 of 1985. Georgia Pacific/BlueLinx employed him for the last 26 years, as a territory sales manager, up until the time of his illness. In August 2011, Warren was diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and was waiting for a liver transplant. As a lasting tribute Warren donated his corneas, so someone else would have the gift of sight. Warren loved spending time with his family and always had stories to share of his daughter, five nieces and one nephew. He enjoyed car auctions, watching NASCAR races and the Indy 500 race on television, watching movies, and had a passion for working with BlueLinx. Warren is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lynette, daughter Kelsey, twin sister Karen (Tom) Schubert, of Novi, MI; nieces Erin Schubert of Novi, MI, Mary (Adam) Gacioch, of Augusta, GA, and Annie Schubert, of Novi, MI; mother-in-law, Dorothy Madsen, of Ruthton, MN; brothers-in-law Jeff Madsen, of Ruthton, MN and Tim (Laurie) Madsen, of Ruthton, MN; niece Katie Madsen, nephew Philip Madsen, and niece Anna Madsen, all of Ruthton, MN; and many cousins, aunts and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Friday, April 20th at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Burial will be in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in rural Fairview, SD. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm
