Leigh Alan Surdez, 16, Crooks, died Thursday, Jun. 23, 1983 at home. He was born Jul. 13, 1966 at Santa Anna, CA. He lived in California until 1975 when he moved to Crooks. He was a student at Tri-Valley High School, Lyons, SD. Survivors include his father, Alan Lee Surdez; his stepmother, Janet Surdez, Crooks; his mother, Judy Surdez, Santa Anna, CA.; a brother, Chad Sundt, Crooks; two sisters: Diona Surdez and Carrie Sundt, both of Crooks; his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grayson, rural Sioux Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lenz, Lismore, MN.; and Mrs Blake Monsen, Anaheim, CA.
