Arthur "Buck' July 10, 1915 - Sep 8, 2003

A.R. "Buck" Mullinix was born July 10, 1915, at New Cambre, Missouri, to Jesse and Geraldine (Fitzgerald) Mullinix. The family moved to South Dakota when Buck was a young boy. He attended Lincoln County schools. Buck assisted his father on the family farm. After serving in the US Navy during World War II, he returned to South Dakota where he worked at several businesses in the Canton area. Throughout his career, Buck owned and operated several area businesses. In 1960, he owned and operated the Old Style Bar. Buck retired in 1972. He enjoyed pheasant hunting and fishing with his family and friends. In his free time, he liked motorcycling. He was a proud and active associate member of the Fraternal Order Of Police and was a long-time member of the American Legion. He loved people and enjoyed the many friendships that he had developed over the decades as a businessman. Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter from his first marriage, Dorothy Waugh, Sioux Falls, SD; children from his second marriage, Tarzan Mullinix and his wife, Donita, Beresford, SD, Tracy Mullinix and his wife, Lisa, Nashville, TN, Torrey Mullinix and his wife, Virginia, Wakonda, SD, Terri Roan and her husband, Larry, Sioux City, IA; children from his third marriage, Jesse Mullinix and his wife, Pam, Sioux Falls, SD, Georgia Mullinix, Sioux Falls, SD, 31 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; his brother, Arnold Dutch Mullinix and his wife, Norma, Twin Falls, ID; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his third wife, Patricia, three sons, Tyrone and Tam, an infant son, Milton, grandson, Jeremy, granddaughter, Camila, four brothers, and two sisters.
