Orrin C. Markham, son of Isaac P. & Adaline (Phinney) Markham.
At the time of the 1880 U.S. Census, Orrin Markham and his wife "Alice" were residing in Hutchinson, Mcleod County, Minnesota, where he was by occupation a "teamster." Also included in the household at the time was the couple's son Frederick, age 3 years. A centennial book published for Worthing, South Dakota in 1979 noted: "A restaurant was built by Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Markham south of Gerber's Hardware. They had three children -- Fred, Verna and Mabel. Fred married but had no children. Verna married Geo. Woodley and they had no children. Mabel married Harley Woodley who also had no children. They sold out to Mr. and Mrs. (Rose Landon) Dick Reamer." The 1905 South Dakota State Census recorded Orrin C. Markham, age 55, living in Worthing, Lincoln County, where he was working as a "painter."
