Ethel Mae Heesch

Ethel Mae Heesch, 73, of Dell Rapids died Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Dell Rapids Community Hospital.

Ethel was born Nov. 12, 1917, at Sparta, Virg. She moved to Dell Rapids in 1951 and has made her home her since that time.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dell rapids.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by two sons: Thomas and his wife Jackie of Pipestone, Minn., and Oliver and his wife Sherry of Dell Rapids; six daughters: Mrs. Harvey (Alma) Shumaker, Humboldt; Mrs. Larry (Grace) Wellman, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Jeff (Susan) DeBoer, Maple Plains, Minn.; Mrs. Dennis (Mary) Gannon, Mrs. Jerry (Jane) Hogan, and Fran Donaldson, Dell Rapids; 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1991, at the First Baptist Church, Dell Rapids, with Floyd Austin officiating.

Treva Greening was organist and Mary Erickson was soloist.

Interment was at Dell Rapids Cemetery.

Grandsons David Lee Schumaker, Michael Schumaker, Harvey Schumaker II, Chris Hogan, Jamie Donaldson, Darren Hefty, Bobby Kuiper, Trevor DeBoer and Andrew Heesch, served as casket bearers.

Visitation and prayer services were held at the Kahler Funeral Home for Ethel.
