Wallace Packman Died
On Sundae, February 27
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon for Wallace Packman at the Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. He died Sunday night, February 27, in a Sioux Falls hospital after a short illness.
Wallace Vern Packman was born in Dell Rapids 24 years ago, the youngest son of Bert and Mattie Packman. After the family moved to Sioux Falls he attended Washington High School and graduate from Roosevelt High School at St. Louis, Missouri. He had returned to Sioux Falls a few months ago from St. Louis. In 1935 he married Vera Britton of Sioux Falls.
Surviving are the widow, his mother, Mrs. Mattie Packman, Sioux Falls; a sister, Mrs. C.E. Henderson, St. Louis and a brother, Lyle of Sioux Falls.
Interment took place in the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
In the death of Wallace, five members of this family have been claimed by death in the past few years, namely the father, two sisters, Neva and Vera, the latter dying last December 9th; and a little granddaughter, the daughter of Mr. and Ms. Lyle Packman.
