Sioux Falls - Palma A. I. Haagenson was born February 27, 1915 at rural Dell Rapids, SD to Carl and Julianna (Thompson) Haagenson. She grew up on the farm and attended country school. She later attended Dell Rapids High School.

Polly lived on the farm and cared for her parents until their death. She then moved to Sioux Falls in 1955, where she worked at Sioux Valley Drug and Dow Drug and Gifts until she retired in 2000. She passed away on March 14, 2008 at Dow Rummel Village.

Grateful for having shared her life are her two nephews, Clinton Raines (Peggy), Hastings, MI, and William (Joan), rural Garretson, SD; three nieces, Joyce Raines, Carol Jonason and Cindi Biever (David), and one sister-in-law, Erna Haagenson, all of Sioux Falls; and nine great-nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be directed to the Stordahl Cemetery or First Lutheran Media Ministry Fund.

A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Heritage Funeral Home, with burial of cremains in Stordahl Cemetery.
