Bert Sawyer Funeral Held Friday, June 17th
Burt R. Sawyer, born May 17, 1880 at Dell Rapids, S.D., died June 17 at Dell Rapids hospital after two months sickness. Was graduate of Iowa University and practiced dentistry at Dell Rapids and White River. He came to live in the Odd Fellows' Home, April 9, 1954.
He was the father of 3 daughters and 1 son. Mrs. Vivian Van Schaack, of Concord, California who has been here during the time he was in the hospital, Mrs. Dorothy Ralph of Oakland, California and Mrs. Berveta McCumber of concord, California, Kenneth Sawyer and family of Sacramento, California, arrived in Dell Rapids Thursday evening.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Hermanson Chapel. Burial was in the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
