December 14, 1925 - November 19, 2014

Sioux Falls- Francis Westendorf, 88 died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, 2014 at the Sioux Falls Veterans Hospital from Pneumonia. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 24, 2014, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Francis Westendorf was born December 14, 1925. He is survived by his sister Lucille Gilbertson of Sioux Falls South Dakota, Sister Norma Gray of Fargo North Dakota, and Brother Larry Westendorf of St Louis Missouri. Francis better known as (Wes) was honorably discharged from the Army in 1944. He loved horses, was an excellent son taking care of his parents in their later years, and filled the role of father for his two beloved nephews. He always thought of others first and his needs and wants always came second, he will be greatly missed.
