Allen Bennett Klumper
August 9, 1954 ~ July 10, 2018
Allen Bennett Klumper, 63, Spencer, IA, died on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the Bethany Home in Sioux Falls.
Funeral Services will begin at 2pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Heartland Funeral Home, Brandon, SD, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Inurnment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.
Allen was born on August 9, 1954, in Texas, to Ben and Verna (Mohns) Klumper. He was raised in Worthington, MN and graduated from high school there. Allen worked as a car detailer for a car dealership and was a custodian for the grade school in Spencer, IA before receiving a back injury at work becoming disabled.
Allen loved baseball, football and rock and roll. He loved chocolate malts from B&G Milky Way. He always wanted a bigger one including 13 gallon version. He played Santa Claus for a children’s hospital. One of his favorite phrases was “Don’t touch my stuff!”
He is survived by his mother, Verna Klumper, Sioux Falls; brother Jeff (Pat) Klumper, Sioux Falls; nephews Jeremy (Bobby) Klumper, Sioux Falls and Michael (Chrystal) Klumper, Montevideo, MN; great nephews and nieces, Adrianna, Benjamin, Wyatt, Wayde, Alexis, Asher, Brayden; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Ben.
