Emma Verona HYRONIMUS

Worthing Cemetery
Lincoln County,
South Dakota

Jan 7, 1920 - Apr 20, 2007

Emma Verona "Tip" Hyronimus was born at Tea, SD on Jan. 7, 1920, the daughter of Harm A. and Veronica (Stribley) Hyronimus. She moved to a farm south of Tea where she attended rural school and grew to womanhood. She moved to Worthing with her family in 1947, where she had since lived. She was a homemaker for her mother and brothers for many years. Tip was a wonderful cook and she loved to have her family and friends around. When she baked, it wasn't just for her family, it was for the whole neighborhood. Her favorite foods were fresh tomatoes and onions right out of the garden. When her nieces and nephews were around she would be right there sharing and giving her time with them. She enjoyed many memorable times having family picnics at Newton Hills. She was preceded in death by her father in 1958; her mother in 1988; six brothers: one in infancy, Bernard, Russell, Albert H., George and Randy Hyronimus; four half-brothers: Archie, Forrest, Percy and Dewey Merritt. Grateful for having shared her life are one brother, Millard Hyronimus and his wife, Millie, of Rock Valley, Iowa; one half-sister: Nona Gimbel of Tuscon, Arizona; a special niece and her husband, Debby and David Miles of Worthing and many other nieces and nephews.
