Dell Rapids – S.D. – Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church for Mrs. Leona Huewe, 68, who died Tuesday in a Sioux Falls rest home after a long illness.
Leona Thill was born Nov 7, 1900, in LeMars, Iowa. She was married to Jake Huewe Sept. 28, 1927, in Dell Rapids. She had been a patient at the rest home for three years.
Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Smith, Cour-Delane, Ida.; two sons, Dale and Gerald, Dell Rapids; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Ray Entringer, Colman; Mrs. Noris Westwick and Mrs. George Mergen, Dell Rapids, and Mrs. Frank Gorman, Tyndall, and three brothers, Lawrence, Sioux Falls; Francis, Brooking, and Norman, Dell Rapids.
A rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 pm. at St. Mary Church.
