Easton Treasure Chapman
August 20, 2019 - November 2, 2020
If a person could bottle sunshine and spray it into a room that would be like how our dear sweet Easton Treasure Chapman entered into our lives.
As Native Peoples we believe that our babies chose to come into our family or into our Tiospaye. Our Tiospaye was honored with his presence for one year, 2 months and 12 days.
Easton was a happy go lucky little guy ready to roll with the punches. He would greet you with a big grin and “Hi! Hi!” After he learned to walk, he explored his world with great enthusiasm. We had to constantly be putting up barriers to try to contain him.
Perhaps that is the lesson he brought us in his short life “explore with great enthusiasm and don’t let them contain you!”
Dear sweet baby of ours we will carry you forever in our hearts as we see your Spirit soar into Spirit’s loving embrace.
Easton is survived by a host of loving family members and friends. His father Marcus Chapman; brother Louie Z. Chapman; grandparents Mark Chapman, Jay & Rose Bazemore, Marlys Miller, Everdale Songhawk, Joe Lovell, Art Dog Soldier, Chris (Carol) Eisenbeis, Tim (Anita) Eisenbeis and Philip Eisenbeis; great-grandparents Carlene Chapman, Larry & Anette Eisenbeis; uncles Jonathan Eisenbeis Paz, Matthew Rainbow; aunts Neyla Eisenbeis Paz, Nikita Vambrando Ross; and many cousins and friends.
Private funeral service will take place at Calvary Episcopal Cathedral, Sioux Falls with a private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls.
