“Chuck” Charles Henry Allard, age 61 of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Wednesday, Feb 2, 2022 surrounded by his family after a long-fought battle with cancer. His funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Iglesia Palabra Viva in Sioux Falls, SD. His family will be present to greet relatives and friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, February 7, 2022 at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls.

Charles Henry Allard was born September 17, 1960, to Glenn and Sharon (Peetz) Allard in Spalding, NE. Growing up between sisters LaDona and Connie, Chuck grew up on the family farm in rural Greeley County. Chuck graduated from Wolbach High School with the class of 1978.

Following some time in college at Hastings Tech he worked the farm and ranch, several jobs around the Grand Island area and found his career in meat processing working for a friend in a small local locker. He spent over 25 years working his way up in the beef industry in Grand Island, NE. He then moved to Sioux Falls, SD where he joined the John Morrell/Smithfield family. Here he also found his beloved wife Blanca and they were married May 23rd, 2010. His family, friends and co-workers remember him as the best guy ever, generous and caring and his wife’s greatest blessing. A “Girl Dad” for many years to Jessica, Darcy, Sarah, Heidi and Jackie, Chuck finally welcomed his son Mark after his 50th birthday to complete his family. His next greatest blessing was being Papa to his grandchildren.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Blanca Allard of Sioux Falls, SD; daughters, Jessica (Trent) Usasz of St. Paul, NE, Darcy Allard (Cory Gilmore) of Grand Island, NE, Sarah Allard of Sioux Falls, SD, Heidi (Tim) Dykes of Colfax, IA, and Jackie Allard of Sioux Falls, SD; son, Mark Allard of Sioux Falls, SD; eight grandchildren, Alise, Jaycee, Olivia, Jesse, Jason, Jared, Jax, Ryleigh, and Baby Dykes is on the way; sisters, LaDona (Ron) Souchek of Lexington, NE and Connie Peters of Columbus, NE; along with a host of many other relatives and friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Sharon (Peetz) Allard; and his brother-in-law, Doug Peters.
