Mary Dubro passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mary was 69.
Daughter of Kenneth and Ellen (Schuknecht) Boelter, Mary Ellen was born on November 19, 1950 in Sioux Falls, SD. She attended St. Joseph Cathedral Elementary and graduated from Washington High in 1969. Mary continued her education at DSU in Madison, SD and obtained her BS in English and Drama.
On October 12, 1974, Mary was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Dubro in Sioux Falls. The couple resided in Sioux Falls and became loving parents. In 1985, the family moved to rural Canton, SD. Mary was a loving mother, kind-hearted grandmother, fantastic friend, and the role model we all strive to be.
Mary was a jack of all trades and had a plethora of talents. She was accomplished at Tae Kwon Do and earned a Fifth-Degree Black Belt. Mary was a caring teacher, excellent writer, impressive black belt instructor, and a talented bartender. She cherished her family and friends, but her greatest passion was spending time with her children and grandkids.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Sandy Dubro, Theresa (Rob) Saltmarsh, Joshua (Karli) Dubro, Daniel (Heather) Dubro, and Jason (Annissa) Dubro; 8 grandkids, Zachriah (Kaylee) Saltmarsh, Aubrey, Brayden, Abigail, Darrion, Coby, Avyanna and Maverick Dubro; brother, James (Carli) Boelter; and her beloved chihuahua, Sophie.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Ellen Boelter; husband, Richard “Dick” Dubro; daughter, Faith Dubro; and son, J. David Dubro.
