Obituary. DIED - On Saturday morning, Aug. 22, 1885, at his residence near Flandreau, Dakota, A.D. Roberts. * Mr. Roberts was born at Jamestown, N.Y., in 1829. He moved with his parents to Hartford, Ohio, in 1832, where he lived eight years, when they again moved to Pilot Grove, Hancock co., Ill. At this place he was married to Miss Eliza A. Huckins. After living there for twenty years he went to Red Wing, Minn., with his family, and made that place their home for 22 years. While attending revival meetings there he was converted, and was thereafter a friend and faithful worker in the church. From Red Wing they moved to Pleasant Mound, Blue Earth county, Minn., and remained six years, after which he came to this place where he has since lived. His beloved wife died three years ago, and now a family of seven children mourn the loss of their father also. The funeral was held at the residence of the deceased on Monday at 4 p.m., the sermon being preached by Rev. A.E. Burrows. the remains were interred in the cemetery south of town where his friends laid him to await the Resurrection morn.
