Manuel "Manny" Nolasco Jr.
June 16, 1959 - May 28, 2018

Manuel Nolasco Jr. (Papito) was born June 16, 1959 to Manuel Nolasco and Elvira T. Nolasco in Oceanside, CA. He died on May 28th 2018 at 7:48pm.

Manuel spent most of his life in Oceanside, CA where he grew up. They called him many different nicknames “Papito”, “Papos”, “Bones” and “Mouse”. He was part of track and field growing up. He loved the beach, and horse track racing (Del-Mar Fair), fishing and going out on the boat were some of the things he enjoyed doing the most. He also coached his two oldest children, Cindy and Manuel “Michael” for many years in baseball.

Manuel worked as a laborer for the San Diego Labor Union and then did what he did best, which was cooking. He worked at the Del-Mar Hotel. When he moved to Sioux Falls he worked at the Royal Fork Buffet, Gateway, and HyVee(Chinese).

Manuel was loyal to friends; he was kind and generous to anyone that needed help for a place to stay or people who needed food. He loved doing community service and became a member of Central Church Downtown and was the only member who never missed a Sunday while attending Central Church. The members were his extended family. The best times for him were spent with his grandchildren.

Manuel was survived by his children, Cindy Sanchez, Manuel Michael Andrew Nolasco Jr., Celia Anstel, Matthew Nolasco, Marcus Nolasco, Corey Nolasco, Jacob Nolasco and Lyssa Nolasco; brothers and sisters, Jesus Nolasco, (Martin), Victor Nolasco, Gloria Lopez, Miguel (Mickey) Nolasco, Richard (Ricky) Nolasco, Julia (Julie) Nolasco, Kacbisch Raul Nolasco, Joey Nolasco and Juan (Johnny) Nolasco; grandchildren, David, Nicholas, Kaleb and Jesslynn Suarez, Garrison and Gabriella Anstel, Courtney and Miley Nolasco and Annabella Nolasco; 23 nieces and nephews.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Nolasco, Sr. and Elvira T. Lopez; step mother, Eloise Nolasco; Stepfather, Joe Lopez and sister, Maria Cortez.

Funeral Services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Central Church downtown location, 1117 W. 11th Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57104. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Tuesday at the church with family present.
