Anna Kroger Thiele, 104, died Monday at Terrace Manor, Dell Rapids. She was born September 28, 1899 at Malinda, IA to Henry and Bertha (Staltenberg) Kroger. She grew up on the family farm southeast of Colman, SD. Anna married Fred Thiele on September 4, 1918, at Colman. They farmed for 13 years and then moved into Colman. Anna cooked at cafes and then for many years for Colman Public School. Her husband preceded her in death on March 29, 1972. She was active in the Colman Senior Citizens. She was survived by 3 daughters and 3 sons. 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
