Ivan Stepanovich Silchuk
Ivan Silchuk, 47, was born on November 17th, 1969 to Stepan and Valentina Silchuk in Volinska OBL Polapi, Ukraine. He moved to the United States in 1991. He was the husband to Lyubov Kozhenevsky for 19 years. They had four kids and a happy, adventurous life together in Sioux Falls, SD for many years.
Ivan was a successful businessman and worked hard for himself and especially for his family. In 1994 he started his own lawn and landscaping company that he had a true passion for. He established a great life for him and his family. They enjoyed camping, boating, traveling and most importantly spending time with one another.
Ivan had a strong impact in the community and was a well-respected man by many. Although his health took a turn for the worse, he always stayed connected with his family and close friends. He and Lyubov stayed a team and helped one another as much as they could in his last years. His love, compassion and selflessness will never be forgotten.
Ivan is survived by his mother Valentina Silchuk, brothers Oleksiy, Peter, and Vladimir Silchuk, sisters Mariya Berestyuk and Galina Kostyuk, Lyubov Kozhenevksy, children Yuriy, Inna, Daniel, and Melana Silchuk and grandchildren Elijah and Aliyana.
The celebration of his life will be on Sunday, October 29th at 6:30pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Visitors are welcome to arrive as early as 6pm. Burial to follow on Monday, October 30th at 10:00am at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, October 30 at 9:40am to process to Woodlawn Cemetery.
