Henry Kroon, 81, died Sunday in a Sioux Falls hospital.
He was born in Hull, Iowa, and married Nellie Van Steenwyk on June 20, 1917. She died in September 1967, and he married Mayme Westers November 5, 1968. She died in December 1974.
Mr. Kroon had farmed, and also worked for the Sioux Valley Electric Association at Colman, South Dakota. He retired in 1965, and had moved to Flandreau, South Dakota in 1966.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. William Butler, Colman, South Dakota ; Mrs. W.L. Ricketts, Pierre, South Dakota; Mrs. Lorrayne Gilmore, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Mrs. R.O. Westra, Rockford, Illinois.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Clarence King, South Dakota; Mrs. Dallas French, Spokane, Washington and Evelyn Sherman, North Hollywood, California; a stepbrother, Garret Krayenhof, Luverne, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Second Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at the Thomas Funeral Home.
