Mrs. P. Dubbelde
Requiem Mass for Mrs. Peter Dubbelde was said at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Garretson, May 24. Burial took place in that cemetery. Minnie Schreurs was born Oct 3, 1887 in Breda, Ia., to William and Margaret Schreurs. She was married to Peter Dubbelde Feb 5, 1907 in Larchwood, Ia. and they farmed near Garretson until their retirement in 1944 when they moved into Garretson. He husband died in 1965. Mrs. Dubbelde has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Pipestone, Minn., since 1966. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Dressen, Colman; Mrs. Ralph (Mabel) Heinemann, Flandreau; Mrs. Bernard (Mary) Dressen, Ivanhoe, Minn.; Mrs. Gus (Irene) Forseth, Sherman; fours sons, Fran and Rodney, Sherman; Harold, Colman; Red, Pipestone; 47 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. A son Joe also preceded her in death.
