Agnes Evelyn Twite was born August 1, 1924 on a farm in Riverside, Clay County, South Dakota to parents Erick and Anna (Gjelbakken) Twite. She died January 11, 2012 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford, South Dakota at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 10 days.

Agnes attended Colfax and Newdale schools through the ninth grade. She married Russell Vennard on May 24, 1934 in Sioux City, IA. He died May 20, 1969. She then married Charles Iosty on February 19, 1977 in Las Vegas. He died November 28, 1996. Agnes worked in several cafes, the VFW and for the Messler brothers at Ray's Radio and TV all in Beresford.

Agnes was baptized at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church, rural Vermillion and was confirmed at Dalesburg Lutheran Church on September 4, 1938. She was currently a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She also was a member of the Beresford VFW Auxiliary and the SOLO Club. Agnes loved to spend time with her family. Her other hobbies and interests included dancing, playing cards, quilting, arts and crafts, and spending winters in Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Russell Vennard and Charles Iosty, brothers Bert, Lewis, Ed and Ole, a sister Sena, and a brother in infancy.

Her survivors are five children, Jeanette Severson (Bill Allen), Gerri Dahlin and husband Donald, Glen Vennard and Jim Vennard all of Beresford, and Leona Tisland and husband Mark of Volga, SD; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandsons, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2012 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Beresford Cemetery.
