James MAYER

Graceland - Mitchell Cemetery
Davison County,
South Dakota

James Mayer, son of Jim and Vickie (Tastad) Mayer, was born June 3, 1976 in Mitchell, SD. He grew up in Mitchell and received his education here, graduating from Mitchell High School in 1994. After his schooling James was employed at Doug’s Custom Paint and Body, Klock Werks, GT Body and Smitty’s Custom Paint in Tea, SD. James was currently employed at Twin City Fan and doing custom paint on cars and motorcycles at his shop.

He was united in marriage with Teresa Geraets on August 27, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD. The couple made their home in Mitchell.

James enjoyed doing custom painting, riding motorcycles, snowboarding, cage fighting and alternative music. He always had a joke to tell or a prank to pull. James was a cherished husband, son, father, brother, uncle and a friend to many.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Teresa Mayer, Mitchell, SD; his parents, Jim and Vickie Mayer, Mitchell, SD; two step children, Kayla Majercik and Joe Majercik both of Mitchell; a sister, Nicole Mayer, Sioux Falls, SD; a niece, Tia Wilson, Sioux Falls, SD; and his paternal grandmother, Alice Mayer, Mitchell, SD.
James original artwork was used in the design of this beautiful stone to create a loving tribute to the special person he was. He remains in our hearts forever.
