Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Egan Methodist church and the Orvedahl Funeral Chapel for Guy W. Hutton, 68, long time resident of Moody County, who passed away early Sunday Morning, July 12.

Guy Wesley Hutton was born near Waterloo, Ia., June 13, 1885, the son of Jesse S. And Annie L. Hutton. He came to South Dakota with his parents and three sisters, a part of the immigrant train of some twenty families who moved from Blackhawk county, Ia., to Moody county in the spring of 1900. He has lived northwest of Egan from that time until his death Sunday morning.
In 1910 he was married to Roslyn C. Brinker, and to them were born three daughters, all of whom with their mother survive. The daughters are Mrs. Archie (Dorothea) Moore of McIntosh, Mrs. Vernon (Elaine) Julson of Garretson and Berdyne, who is living at home. There is one grandson, James L. Julson. Other survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Paul (Mary) Gregg of Egan, Mrs. J. W. (Margaret) Byrd of Watertown and Mrs. William (Manda) Chestnut of Escalon, Calif.
Mr. Hutton has been in a poor state of health for more than a year and had failed rapidly during the last six months of his life.
