Obituary of Mrs. J. S. Hutton
-----------------------------
Anna L. Farnsworth was born in Denver, Iowa, March 10, 1866. She grew to womanhood there and on Sept. 10, 1884 was married to Jesse S. Hutton of near Waterloo, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Hutton lived in Blackhawk county, Iowa, until the spring of 1900, when they, with their four children moved to their farm, two miles east of Egan, S.D. In 1915 they moved to their farm one mile east of Egan, where Mrs. Hutton died November 17, 1931.
Her chief interest was in her family and in her home. She was always ready to share home and comforts with those in need. She was of a cheerful disposition and endured with great patience the long illness which finally resulted in her death.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband Jesse S. Hutton, one son Guy W. Hutton, three daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Gregg, Mrs. Margaret E. Byrd, and Mrs. Manda E. Holste, and twelve grandchildren, all of Egan. She also leaves two brothers, Frank T. Farnsworth of Portland, Ore., and Owen D. Farnsworth of Bertha, Minn., and friends everywhere.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon by Rev. Paul Gardner, after which internment was made in the Hillside cemetery.
The many friends extend their sympathy to Mr. Hutton and family.
