George Edward Scobell, b. 25 Jul 1860 in Bosanquet Twp, Lambton Co, Ontario, Canada, d. 4 Oct 1909 in Vineland, Pueblo, Colorado of tuberculosis, where he'd gone to "chase the cure" at his doctor's suggestion. His body was transported by train back home, accompanied by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth (McLin) Scobell and his nephew George Holbert. Both Margaret and his nephew George Holbert are thought to be buried next to him, though no stones now exist for them. George was a farmer just over the county line in Hutchinson Co. He was a state representative for Hutchinson County, SD in 1902-1903. He was the son of John M. Scobell (1833-1865)& Mary Elizabeth Tool (1841-1899) and father of five children.
