Services were held Tuesday, Jun. 29, 2004 for Henry "Hank" Andernacht, who died at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on Saturday morning, Jun. 26, 2004. He attained the age of 81 years, ten months and ten days. Henry "Hank" Leon Andernacht was born on a farm northeast of Chancellor on Aug. 16, 1922, the son of John and Bena (Kromminga) Andernacht. He grew up there, attending District #84 rural school and graduated from Chancellor High School in 1940. On Feb. 20, 1948 he was united in marriage to Annline Marie Schoffelman at Germantown Manse, rural Chancellor. Following their marriage they farmed northwest of Chancellor and in 1954 moved to the home northeast of Chancellor. They farmed there until retiring to Lennox in 1985. Hank became a resident of the Lennox Good Samaritan Home on Jun. 26, 2001. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 12, 2001, ending a marriage of over 53 years. Besides his wife, Annline, he was preceded in death by his father on Dec. 28, 1954; his mother on Jan. 2, 1973; two brothers, Clarence "Kelly" Andernacht on Dec. 5, 1981, Marvin Andernacht on May 30, 2003 and his wife, Mae, on May 6, 2000; one sister, Grace Heibult on Apr. 4, 2002 and one niece, Marlyce Stack on Feb. 18, 2004. Grateful for having shared his life are his two daughters: Judy Andernacht and her husband, Frank Jackson and Joan Bartling and her husband, Mike, all of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Marvin Heibult and his sister-in-law, Jo Andernacht, both of Lennox.
