Rolland Richard Reinke, Jr., age 71, went to Heaven Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, having been in hospice at the V.A. Medical Center. Rolland was born Mar. 11, 1940 at Minot, ND, to Rolland Sr. and Viona (Widmeyer) Reinke.
He graduated from Minot High School in 1958. He worked as a meat cutter in Fargo, ND before entering the US Army in 1964. He served in the Medical Corps during his tour of duty in Vietnam. Following his discharge from the Army, he worked at Red Owl Stores in Fargo and Bismarck before moving to Sioux Falls in 1981. He worked at Red Owl in Sioux Falls for five years and worked at Looks Market for 1986 to 2003, when he retired. Rolland married Judy Luithle on Jun. 26, 1972 in Bismarck, ND. He is a life-time member of the V.F.W. Survivors include: his good friend and former wife, Judy; children; Kim Reinke, Norfolk, NE, Crystal Reinke, Sioux Falls, Ryan Reinke, Sioux Falls, Susan (Craig) Hillman, Scottsdale, AZ, and Shae Fergerson, Encino, CA; sister, Sandra Shutt, Cortez, CO; brother, Kenneth Reinke, Minot, ND; grandsons; Tyler and Dalton Hillman and Adam Fergerson. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Stacy and brother, David.
