Services Monday for
Former area resident
Mrs. Lloyd Sweet, 87, former Dell Rapids resident, died in Rapid City Feb. 14. Services were held there Saturday and at Hermanson – Kahler funeral chapel in Dell Rapids Monday. The Rev. Emory Anderson officiated. Mrs. Milton Merry was organist and Mrs. John Edenburn soloist. Interment took place in the Dell Rapids Cemetery.
Jessie Mae Wilhelm was born Dec. 2, 1886 in Lime Springs, Ia. She married Lloyd S. Sweet on Sept. 26, 1906 in Bon Air, Ia. They lived in Dell Rapids and Sioux Falls prior to moving to Pasadena, Calif. Her husband died in 1957 and she then moved to Rapid City where she made her home until her death.
She is survived by her son Charles M., Rapid City; daughters Mrs. Milo H. (Zella) Barber and Mrs. John (Ione) Fiscel, Rapid City and Mrs. Ed (Nellie Mae) Bennett, Jesup, Ga.; a sister Mrs. Sadie Hutchinson, Canistota; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
