Dwayne Kerwin Pederson was born December 14, 1933 in Sioux Falls, SD to George and Esther (Ellison) Pederson. He graduated from Canton High School in 1951. Dwayne was united in marriage to the love of his life, Evelyn Lawrence, in 1956 days before being called to duty by Uncle Sam. After his service in the Army in Louisville, KY, they returned home to Sioux Falls. For years Dwayne farmed by day, sold baby furniture by night, and owned several rental properties. In 1970, Dwayne moved his family to the family farm where they raised their three daughters. He loved people and always had a joke to tell. He loved traveling and led numerous mission trips around the world. Dwayne was very expressive about his love for his God, wife, family, friends, and church family. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Pederson of Worthing; three daughters, Karol (Chuck) Pruett of Princeton, MN, Karen (Randy) Christensen of Willmar, MN, and Karla (Gaylon) Lems of Canton, SD; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Carolyn (Clarke) Gage of LaCrosse, WI. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and other loved family members.
