Virginia A."Virgie" Reynolds was born on March 4, 1930 in Worthing, SD to Alfred and Wilhelmina (Wendt) Reynolds. She grew up and received her education in Worthing and graduated from Worthing High School. With the same love and caring that God gave his only son to the world she gave of herself to others. On May 30, 1949 Virginia was united in marriage to Robert Mathiesen in Luverne, MN. Virgie worked at John Morrell for 25 years and part time for 13 years at K-Mart East. A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother she always put the need of others in front of her own. A generous person she will long be remembered for her generosity and the love she had for her family. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Bob, Sioux Falls; children, Gary (Diane), Webster, SD, Rick (Janella), Sioux Falls, Kim (Mark) Haldeman, Sioux Falls, SD, Jay (Jeanne), Kansas City, MO; 8 grandchildren, Carrie, Valerie, Nikki, Brad, Jennifer, Gordy, Tony, Michael; 5 great-grandchildren, Tommy, Linus, Isaac, Breanna, and Broc; brothers, Don (Arla) Reynolds, Carlsbad, NM, Dean (Nola) Reynolds, Sioux Falls; sisters, Loye (Ken) Mattie, Belton, MO; and special friends, Rose, Dee, and Ken. In addition to her parents, her friend, Dolly preceded her in death.
