She married Petter Persson (Peter Lundborg) on 15 Oct 1846 in Sweden. They were the parents of seventeen children; eight of whom emigrated to the U.S. They were: Maria Fahlberg, Carrie Magnuson, Mathilda Linroth, Andrew Lundborg, Esther Reynolds, Charles Eric, Ernest August, and Oscar. Seven children died as infants, or youngsters in Sweden. They were: Chatrina Matilda, Per Erik, Per Johan, Erik, Christina, Hedda, and Karl Erik Pettersson. One son, Per Pettersson, and one son, John Lundborg, lived to adulthood in Sweden.
