Harold Joseph "Joe" Trevithick of Longmont, CO died July 9, 2008 at the Hospice Care Center in Louisville. He was 95.

Joe was born March 30, 1913 in Trent, South Dakota to Joseph and Elva (Merrill) Trevithick. Raised in South Dakota, Joe attended school and graduated from Trent High School. Joe married Doris Lund on July 31, 1932 in South Dakota. She died in 1957.

Joe farmed until the age of 45 and moved to Wheat Ridge, Colorado in 1958. He married Elizabeth Olson Bordner on December 29, 1957. He worked for the Jefferson County School District and was the head custodian at Alameda High School when he retired and moved to Longmont in 1972. Always a workaholic, Joe went back to work in ranching in the Hygiene area. He enjoyed playing cards from the time he was young until recently and taking care of his yard and garden.

Joe was a member of First Christian Church and LifeBridge Christian Church since moving to Longmont.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his two wives, three brothers, two sisters and three grandsons.

Joe is survived by three daughters, Sharon Munroe of Littleton, Linda Todd of Denver, and Dyann Berkey and her husband Rob of Thornton; three sons: Pierre Trevithick and his wife Sandy of Longmont, Dick Trevithick and his wife Barb of Arvada, and Jan Bordner and his wife Sandi of Westminster; 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 21 at Howe Mortuary with David Bradshaw officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
