Ryan Schmuck, age 19, passed away Friday, January 12, 2007 at his home, due to Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Ryan was born June 23, 1987 in Sioux Falls, to Allen and Jan (Poppens) Schmuck. He attended Hawthorne Elementary, Sioux Falls Lutheran, Memorial Middle School, and Roosevelt High School. Ryan is survived by his parents, Al and Jan Schmuck of Sioux Falls; his brother, Andy and his fiancée, Nicolette Allard; and his grandparents, Kenneth and Alice Schmuck of Brandon, SD, and Edwin and Mina Poppens of Lennox, SD; aunts and uncles, Pat and Karen Widboom, Gordon and Lynn Poppens, Jim Poppens, Sharon Poppens, Kathy Day, Phil and Lori Taubert, Kevin Franken, and Dave Franken; and many cousins and friends.
