Elaine Mar. 10, 1930 - Jan. 2, 2006

Elaine Christina Riley was born on March 10, 1930 near Ruthton, Minnesota. She attended school until the age of 16 and then helped her mother raise her siblings. She also worked as a telephone operator. Elaine was united in marriage to Kenneth P. Jorgensen on March 21, 1952. They made their home in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. Her husband died in 1993

She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids and served on the Social Concerns Committee and the Altar Guild. Elaine served as a Stephen Minister and as the Secretary / Treasure of the Memorial Committee. She also co-chaired the Banquet. Elaine enjoyed cooking, chatting with friends, playing cards, and Bingo. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family always came first.

Elaine passed away at her daughter's home in Adrian, MN on Monday, January 2, 2006. She was 75 and preceded in death by her mother Alvina Riley, her husband, and her brother, Robert Riley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Paul (Bobbi) Jorgensen and Jeff "Buzz" Jorgensen both of Dell Rapids; her daughters, Vicki (John) Story of Dell Rapids and Cindy (Dean) Bullerman of Adrian, MN; her eleven grandchildren, Kari (Jim) Ryan and Kelly Story, Kendra Riley and Dane Jorgensen, Seth and Levi Bullerman, Jael, McKeon, Bradi and Michael Jorgensen; two great-grandsons, Austin and Dylan Ryan; her six brothers, Dr. Thomas (Linda) Riley of West Des Moines, IA, James (Deanna) Riley of Chatfield, MN, Allan (Theodora) Riley of Springfield, MO, Ray (Ruth) Riley and Ken (Sandy) Riley both of Cleremont, FL and Bill (Barb) Riley of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister, Vivian Riley (Kathy Seeley) of Olympia, WA and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Death: Aug. 3, 1993
