Florence Peterson
Services were held Tuesday, Jan 16, at the Baptist Church in Dell Rapids for Florence Peterson, 96, who died Thursday, Jan 11 at the Odd Fellow Nursing Home there.
Florence Cramer was born May 28, 1899 in rural Colman where she grew up and attended country school. She worked in a nursing home in Madison.
She married Vanus Peterson on Jan. 12, 1920. He preceded her in death. She worked at the Dell Rapids Hospital, a nursing home and restraints. She was also a care-giver to several local residents.
She was a member of the Baptist Church of Dell Rapids and active in the women's group.
She is survived by one son, Vincent of Grayland, WA; one daughter, Marilyn Lotspeich of Winsor CA; 12 grandchildren; 23 great - grandchildren.; two brothers, Clark of Brandon and Carl of Colman; and two sisters, Frances Thornber of Colman and Eleanor Goodale of Dell Rapids.
Interment was in Dell Rapids Cemetery.
