Died December 19, 1990 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota.

Ethel Scott, 99, of Wessington Springs, died Wednesday, December 19, 1990, at Weskota Memorial Center, Wessington Springs. The funeral will be at 2 PM, Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Wessington Springs with the Rev Scott McKirdy officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Wessington Springs. Friends may call Friday from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM at the Basham Funeral Home, Wessington Springs. Nettie Ethel Hussban was born February 7, 1891 in Gage County, Nebraska to Christopher and Martha (Miles) Hussban. She spent her childhood years in and around Beatrice, Nebraska, living with relatives and friends because her mother dided when she was seven years old. At the age of sixteen she was baptized into the First Christian Church at Beatrice, Nebraska. When she was seventeen she moved with a married sister to South Dakota. in January 1912 she married Gordon Scott of Wessington Springs where she continued to live until her death. She is survived by two sons, Lee Scott of Wessington Springs, and Norman Scott of Cheyenne Wyoming; two daughters Lois Sneed of St. George, Utah and Neva Christensen of Aberdeen, fourteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents, one son, Ralph, two sisters, one brother. Pallbearers will be Roger Dwyer, Francis Hawley, Richard VanDyke, Phillip Heisel, Doug Flittie, and George Eilers.

Gordon Scott was born March 28, 1886 in Elmore, Faribault, Minnesota.
He died May 30, 1965 in Jerauld County, South Dakota.

Funeral services for Gordon Scott were held at the Methodist Chruch Thursday afternoon at 3 PM with Rev Emory Anderson officiating. Mrs. Ralph Bromwell accompianied Mrs. Melvin Brosz and Brenda who sang, "The Rugged Old Cross" and "Good Night and Good Morning".
Gordon Ray Scott was born on a farm near Elmore, Minnesota, March 28, 1886. He was the son of John and Emogene Scott. He with his parents moved to a darm in Dale Township in 1902. In 1910 he homesteaded in Harding County, South Dakota. He was united in marriage to Ethel Husband in 1912 at Beatrice, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Scott made their home on the John Scott farm until 1935 at which time they moved to Chery Township. They moved to Wessington Springs in 1947 until his death. After lingering illness he died at Memorial Hospital in Wessington Springs on May 30, 1965 at 79 years.
